Well I have done nothing much on this blog since I started it.

We are past the half way mark in 2010 an what a year it has been for me. My best friend Padraic won Gold in the Boccia World Championships in Lisbon in June. All the months leading up to this we have been training hard so all the work paid off

I am so proud to have been on court through the whole tournament and standing on the podium with Padraic was one of the proudest moments of my life so far. Next year the Boccia World Cup is on in Belfast Ireland so we don't have far to go in regards to traveling this year (a short drive up the motor-way from Dublin) And this is our last chance to Qualify for the Paralympic Games in London 2012.

So Lisbon has been the only place I have traveled to this year but sadly did not see any of it due Padraic getting into the finals but I guess that is part of winning gold and the sport assistants life.

People always say to me oh you so lucky you have been to so many place with Boccia (Lisbon, Beijing, Vancouver, Holland, England, Belgium just to name a few) and I am lucky but apart from Beijing the most I have seen of theses places in Airport - Hotel - Arena - Airport.

I was lucky to see some of Beijing we were there for the 2008 Paralympic games. we spent a week in a really nice Hotel and Three weeks in the Paralympic Village (Olympic Village) It was really the time of my life the first week was a lot of Training and team bonding we got an afternoon to go to the great wall of China another dream come through.

After this week we then spend three weeks in the Paralympic Village. This was really something else and was an eye opening experience for me personally. It was the key driver in me losing some weight. In China I was over 17 Stone it has taken me two years to lose 2 stone and would like to lose one more and I really believe that the Paralympic movement has help and inspired me to shift the pounds.

The three weeks in the Village was such hard work there was highs and lows but over all was a great moment in my life. And I hope I will get to experience more Paralympics games in the future.

There is over a year till the Boccia World Cup (August 2011) and yes I have some Travel plans. Another dream is coming through I going to the Original Disneyland in Anaheim California. I am heading in October with my Sister Louise and her Irish Dancing School for the CRN America Championships so can't wait for that.

Will try my best to write some more

Talk soon....Rob
